Understanding Ayurveda in 1 minute

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term that means "Knowledge of Life" .
🌙 Ayurveda is a traditional Indian system of medicine that aims to restore balance between the body, mind, and environment of the individual.
🌙 Its objectives are as follows: to prevent illness, heal existing imbalances, maintain physical and mental health, understand the causes of our imbalances, and reconnect with oneself.
🌙 These goals will be achieved through diet (spices, herbs...), practices (yoga, meditation...), working with one's energies (doshas, chakras...) and the use of external elements (Ayurvedic massages, stones...).
🌙 THE DOSHAS: the heart of how Ayurveda works.
Ayurveda is based on the theory of the five elements (water, fire, air, earth, ether). These five elements combine to form three vital forces, called "doshas": Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. We all have these three forces within us, but in different proportions.
This is what makes each person unique (in terms of physique, character, temperament, etc.) and why each person has different needs.
